Release Notes

3.3.1

CAPA

This release is not backwards compatible and requires a firmware with version 4.0. Please use the Firmware Updater to update the firmware.

  • New features

    • A warning is presented in case a specified number of days have passed since the last rail lubrication
    • An option to only drop the probe is available
  • Bug fixes

    • In the Calibrate pixel size workflow, the magnification cannot be set manually to zero
    • The Calibrate pixel size workflow cannot be completed if а lens is not selected
    • The plate editor can only create plates with features on them that are in the full range of the probe
    • In case the default plates are not present, the first available plates will be presented as default ones
    • During the Stage Calibration (XY) (fine) workflow, the offset is inverted (made in the correct direction)
    • Better error messaging is presented when the system is trying to move out of scope
    • Possible deadlocks during start-up and shutdown are removed
    • The zoom function does not affect the calculations during the Calibrate pixel size workflow
  • Other

    • The description of the status during the printing is improved
    • Extended error handling while gripping or dropping a probe
    • In the Prepare System workflow, the configuration of the probe cannot be completed if local specifications about the probe are not downloaded, or if local ones are not selected
    • Bigger cursors on the video feed have beenadded
    • In case the Bot fails to initialize, a dialog box enabling you to close the app will appear

3.2.0

CAPA

This release is not backwards compatible and requires a firmware with version 4.0. Please use the Firmware Updater to update the firmware.

  • Removed features

    • Conversion options for deflection
    • Calibration offset has been replaced with internal probe offset
    • Relative positioning in navigation tool
  • Bug fixes

    • Activate result history list button initially
    • Correctly show print file preview
    • RecordLogFiles option in 3DP workflows targets all log files, not just deflection log
    • Tell user to go to a well instead of a sample in Go to Well action in Prepare System workflow
    • Shutdown components that failed their initialization and free their resources
    • This resolves the issue which caused CAPA to hang during a shutdown
    • Always show correct probe plates in Calibrate Z (Height) workflow
    • Ensure same time stamp for all files related to the same print job
  • Other

    • Extend idle pressure range to +/- 20 mbar
    • Use system-wide idle pressure for 3D printing
    • Reconnect with pressure controller when an error occurs
    • Show warning if there are pending Windows updates
    • Update 3D Printing workflow UI
    • Update 3D Printing Calibration workflow UI
    • Update Measure Angle workflow UI
    • Use printing logic in Mapping workflow for faster maps
    • Add conditional OK buttons to 3D Printing workflows
    • Allow changing of printing parameters while print run is paused
    • Introduced new printing parameter to change the voxel retract height
    • Updated the print properties log to V2 to include the voxel retract height
    • Persist maintenance parameters directly through CAPA
    • Add more verbose logging for IDS cameras
    • Tell users to reboot when E_COMM_SETUP error occurs
    • Add new maintenance workflow Stage Calibration (XY) (fine) to fine-tune the stage calibration
    • Persist probe offset as a global setting
    • Reduce well size of 12-Well Plate by 1mm
    • Adjust 3D printing parameter ranges
    • Allow users to specify the name of the output file of the Mapping workflow
    • Restore the initial stage position after mapping
    • Rename Online Documentation to CERES Printer Manual

MATLAB apps

The MATLAB apps now require MATLAB 2020a to run.

  • Add support for V2 print properties log files from CAPA 3.2.0 and above
  • Fix collision checks to take CAPA transformation’s into account
  • Introduce context menus for both the VCG and the LogViewer
